L'Ochsners has been a project in the making for at least 30 years. Larry began cutting and polishing agates during the early years of his teaching career in Eastern Montana. Hunting Montana agates, digging for Dryhead agate and sapphires filled many summer vacation days. After meeting his wife LeAnn, the "hobby" continued and kept growing. After finishing a career in education, operating the family farm and continuing to increase their "hobby" collection of semiprecious gemstones, Larry & LeAnn decided it was time to begin a new career. In March of 2003 the couple attended the Gemological Institute of America in order to learn how to fabricate jewelry from silver and gold. Now each of their pieces is handmade, individual, and unique. They are currently working with a variety of stones, including cabochons and faceted gems in a variety of colors. Larry cuts and polishes the stones, LeAnn designs many of the necklaces and they both work with sterling silver to complete their jewelry.
